What will you manifest with your New Moon Intentions?
New Moons draw energy towards you. That’s why this is a powerful time to focus on specifically what you want to attract or manifest into your life. What do you want more of? How do you want to feel in your body, emotionally, spiritually?
Instead of honing in on and obsessing over what you don’t want (hello, current news and social media!) take even just a few minutes to meditate on what you DO want to see in your world. How do you want to feel? How do you want to show up? What do you want to accomplish?
And don’t worry – you don’t have to be an expert in astrology to take advantage of this powerful opportunity to supercharge your intentions!
If you’re curious about how to incorporate more astrological information into your daily life, start with knowing the difference between Vedic and Western astrology.
And if you geek out on astrology and you’d like to know how this New Moon specifically interacts with your personal sign, check out these horoscopes…
Even if you’re not really into astrology or only have a basic awareness, you can still use the New Moon as an important time to check in once a month with your intentions for the days and weeks ahead. Use this a powerful exercise to keep you focused on what you want to manifest in your life.
What to do when you’re not consistent with setting your New Moon intentions…
You might know the actions to take to deepen soul connection but find you don’t prioritize them. If you’ve been walking your personal transformation path for a while now, setting your intentions on a regular basis might be at the top of the list.
And in this case I’m talking about those things that you feel and believe in your heart and soul are what’s needed to move you towards your dreams and desires. Not necessarily what anyone else (even me) says you “should” do.
There’s nothing that you “should” do. If you don’t feel aligned with what someone else is saying you “should” do, then it’s not for you. Your journey is your own. It’s unique. There is no cookie cutter blueprint for your own spiritual awakening or self-actualization.
However, when you know in your heart that there’s an action you’re meant to take, but you’re resisting it, that’s another matter entirely.
When I worked in fitness and wellness, I spoke to countless women who were new to the gym (especially around the New Year) who said, “I don’t really want to exercise, but I know it’s something that I should be doing.” Or “I hate exercise but my doctor said I should do it. So here I am.”
I knew that with an attitude like that, these women weren’t likely to stick to a new routine. They were setting themselves up to fail big time! They had an awareness that they needed to change their health and lifestyle but they didn’t yet have the true desire.
It’s one thing to have an awareness that something needs to change in your life. It always starts with awareness! Without awareness, change isn’t likely to happen. But desire is the spark that ignites the fire. Awareness without desire is like a ball and chain that you’re just lugging around, holding you back, causing friction and resistance.
When I worked with women to help them uncover their own personal WHY and activate their desire, then it was like flipping a switch. Suddenly, they were self-motivated! They got excited about possibilities and they started taking confident action.
Once I helped them to discover the activities and actions to take that were fun for them, true transformation began to snowball. They also began to experience joy around exercise for maybe the first time in their lives!
To help activate your own desire, get curious about the WHY behind the should. When you can get crystal clear about the WHY, then desire kicks in and taking daily action gets easier and easier.
So if you know you “should” be setting New Moon wishes, but you aren’t doing it on a consistent basis, instead of getting down on yourself about it, ask, “Why is setting my New Moon intentions important to me? What do I hope to get out of it?”
Here are some possible answers, “It’s important to me because…”
- I want to channel the power of the new moon to help me manifest ____________ (more money, feel healthier, more clients, my soul mate)
- I know setting my intentions in a meaningful way will bring me what I want instead of more of what I don’t want
- Being in rhythm with the moon, Mother Earth and nature connects me deeper with my heart and soul
- I always feel better when I take this time to be intentional about my New Moon desires
- I’m ready to manifest faster and on a bigger scale
- I want to live fully aligned with my purpose and I setting my New Moon intentions helps me stay on track
Again, this is your journey. It’s not meant to look like anyone else’s. It’s not meant to be compared to anyone else’s! It’s beautiful, magnificent, and it’s yours.
Here’s a Lunar Intention Process for you:
- Set aside some dedicated time to honor yourself and the New Moon (it doesn’t have to be specifically on June 28th. Don’t get bogged down by the details. Release attachment to right vs. wrong here.)
- Write down the actions you will take, like doing a New Moon flow yoga practice, lighting a candle and journaling about your intentions, listening to a New Moon music playlist, setting up an altar for the New Moon or creating your own New Moon ritual.
- Make a promise to heart and soul to follow through
It can be as simple as that!
